[Jyushi had hoped that turning into a dog was a one time thing but then it was not. He had also hoped that waking up next to Ichiro was a one time thing...but it was not. Not that he's too aware of it. Whatever they had been up to as dogs clearly knocked him out because he's snuggled up to Ichiro, knocked out to the rest of the world.

But when he does wake up, he will be feeling very embarrassed because he'd said he was going to give Ichiro space and time after confessing. And right now? With how they're posed? Is anything but space. There's very little space between them.]

[The first time they woke up all cuddled up together, Ichiro hadn't thought much of it. He'd been a little concerned because how did they keep ending up in these situations?? He was worried about Jyushi being uncomfortable is all.

This time, he still won't think much of it to be honest. He appreciates the space Jyushi's been giving him but this is clearly out of their control at this point. That'll be his thought process once he wakes up anyway.

Ichiro's normally a light sleeper but whatever it is they've been doing as dogs really knocks him out. So while Jyushi's awake, Ichiro is still out. He only mumbles sleepily if he feels his companion shift against him.]

[It isn't as if Jyushi is used to waking up with people. As an only child, the closest thing he could remember were the nights he got scared and would sneak into his grandmother's bed. Not his parents because they worked so hard and he didn't want to disrupt them. Still, that had been when he was a child.

And waking up with a boy he was attracted to was very different.

So when he wakes up, seeing himself snuggled up to Ichiro with his head on his should, he squeaks and almost shouts. But covers his mouth so he doesn't wake Ichiro up. He should just leave quietly, right? But then that is also leaving him out here by himself...so he tries to think about what he should do. If he moves out his hold then it looks like he just found him and that seems dishonest.

He does sit up, moving out of Ichiro's space a little before trying to nudge him awake gently.]

Ichiro-san?

[It's a valiant effort on Jyushi's part but only leads to Ichiro wrinkling his nose, eyebrows screwed together, and slapping his arm over Jyushi's waist. And it stays there.]

Mm... Jiro stop... picking on Sab'ro... [As if the arm across Jyushi's body wasn't bad enough, he inches closer to his companion. He nuzzles into whatever part of Jyushi's body his face comes in contact with.]

[Oh no...

There's a squeak that escapes from Jyushi as Ichiro's head finds itself nuzzled into Jyushi's chest. This is more contact than he's ever had with someone.

Jyushi had wanted to avoid the awkward confrontation but he doesn't think he can right now. He's trying to get out of his grip but Ichiro is strong and later Jyushi will marvel about that. But right now, he needs to save both of them from this getting anymore awkward. So he taps on Ichiro's shoulder, whining:] Ichiro-san, please wake up! It's Jyushi!

[If he were home, Ichiro would be sleeping with his Miku daki, nuzzling into her to try to block out his brothers' squabbling. However, Jyushi's voice, now much clearer, is nothing like either of his brothers and Ichiro snaps awake.

Face to face... with Jyushi's chest.

Well. This isn't great.

Ichiro immediately rolls off.] Whoa, sorry Jyushi. [Taking a look around, he doesn't recognize anything nor remember how they got there.]

It happened again, huh?

[Jyushi shakes his head rapidly.] It's okay! I was kind of laying on you when I woke up! [He kind of blurts that out without thinking, only wanting Ichiro not to feel too awkward.

But didn't think about how awkward that makes him and he wants to bury himself into his blankets and scream because why did he admit that?!]

Anyway! It seems so. I don't remember anything. [But there's dried mud on him, on his cheeks and hands.] But ah, um. I'm sorry we keep getting into these situations.

[There's dried mud on both of them. Leaves in Ichiro's hair and stuffed into the seams of his jacket. Seriously, what do they get up to?

But more than anything, Ichiro's surprised to hear Jyushi apologize.] It's okay. I mean - I don't remember anything either but clearly I keep choosing to get into it with you, so it's really okay.

[Like, it's really hard to write this off as a coincidence now.]

And I'm not upset about it or anything. Unless it bothers you that much?

[Jyushi is almost short-circuiting when Ichiro says that he's clearly choosing to spend time with Jyushi. What does that mean? Did that mean he thought he wanted to spend time with him? Well, that wasn't anything too big. After all, Ichiro had clearly liked spending time with him. He couldn't assume anything.

But then he's quick to try to ease any concerns that Ichiro has.]

No, no! I'm really happy when we get to spend time together even if I can't remember it because we're dogs but I don't want to make you uncomfortable or force myself on you if you don't want to spend time with me yet!

[Jyushi is really such a good person. Things have been weird with all these revelations but Ichiro's lucky to know him.]

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still thinking about things - I still haven't contacted Hitoya-san... [Not that that should be any surprise.]

But like, seeing you definitely isn't a bad thing.

[...]

Wow, that sounds stupid and half-baked as hell but you get what I mean?

[He's happy to see Jyushi. Spending time with him doesn't feel nearly as uncomfortable as he thought it would because, in the end, his relationship with Kuko is one thing and his relationship with Jyushi is another. Of course that's not going to really hit him until he talks to Hitoya.]

[Ichiro likes seeing him! Which doesn't have to mean anything because that could legitimately equal friendship. Jyushi knows that much. He's not going to get ahead of himself.]

I understand. Us as dogs obviously feel the same way. [He laughs and scratches off some dried mud from his face. Then reaches forward to take a leaf out of Ichiro's hair.]

I wish I could remember us when we are dogs because being with you is always a lot of fun.

[The mental gymnastics Jyushi is going through to convince himself Ichiro couldn't possibly like him romantically is impressive, honestly.

But with how Ichiro keeps giving him mixed messages and everything that's happened, who could blame him?

Case in point, the gentle smile he gives the other boy is probably unfair but it happens so naturally. His eyes follow Jyushi's hand the plucked the leaf from his hair up until he's looking right into the other's eyes.

He doesn't even realize how he looks at Jyushi sometimes.] Yeah, I think so too.

...We should probably head back, though. [Yet, when he speaks it's impossible to tell how he actually feels. Ichiro has no idea how to convey his feelings through words unless he's rapping!]

[Jyushi meets Ichiro's eyes and he has no idea what that look means. It's so warm and gentle. The kind of look that Jyushi doesn't think has been given his way before and how is he supposed to define it?

But it's hard to look away, even as Ichiro speaks.]

Um, yeah. We should--[And then his stomach growls. Loudly.

Well that's embarrassing!]
